After having that good blogger weekend gathering, since we spent quite a bit on the bloggers, we actually racked up quite a few meal points here and there that we could use to redeem good food. So we went back to the hotpot place that we took the bloggers to and had a feast ourselves. hehe

and as if that wasn't good enough, that night itself, Wangjing invited us to her restaurant/cigar bar at the Financial Street area, and treated us to a full western style meal including salad, soup, mains, dessert, and wine.

Since it's a cigar bar, she and her cousin gave us a tour and introduced to us the different cigars there were. We had a 5min crash course and now i feel like I know a shit ton about cigars!! Wahahah...well I like that feeling that I know, even though I really don't.

The next day (Saturday) we did our regular routine with Jason and gang. Dinner was at Beijing's K-town Wangjing. (Yes, Wangjing came along to Wangjing for dinner too, haha). After dinner, what was supposed to be a chill night, ended up having red wine with cheese, then going to another place for flaming dr. peppers, and then to another place to dance and after that I excused myself to go home while the rest continued.

Yep this is a random pic of Montse and I in a Nike store. This is the new Montse, new and improved version, compared to her fatass +13kg version a year ago. She's all out to flaunt. Am going to do some quick advertising for her here, she used to be the face of a lot of FMCG products in Philippines - shampoo, soap, hair coloring, etc, and get paid loads for it. Yesterday was the first time I've been to a football game EVER. It was awesome. Beijing Guoan vs Tsingtao. Of course the majority of the stadium was all Beijing Guoan supporters.

The Tsingtao supporters were only....

...yep that much. So for their protection, there were guards sitting all around them to protect from the Beijing Guoan madness. The vulgarity at the game towards the Tsingtao fans, were...awesome. You learn quite a few vulgar words at these games, it's a good vocab picking up place.

Beijing Guoan only in the last 30 minutes scored 2 goals. Imagine what would happen if Tsingtao scored instead? hhmmm

Top Blogger Gathering

Last weekend was a fruitful weekend. This is not supposed to be publicized since it's a more "closed" event. We just wanted to build better relationships with the more influential bloggers and let them know exactly what we were doing so they could support us. Since not many people read my blog I guess it's ok to share a few things.

The 2 day event started on Friday evening where Julia and Eric, went to the airport with this:

Yep, it's one of the posters to let the bloggers coming from other parts of China to identify us at the airport. We had 3 coming from outside Beijing. We then all went to Blue Frog at Sanlitun where it was the first time we met most of them and had a good night chilling, dinner, and drinks. Most of them have heard of each other but just not met them in person.

The next day was a whole day packed with activities. We started the day at a hotel meeting room where we really just sat down and presented what Nuffnang was to all these Chinese bloggers. Surprisingly they were all very supportive and also brought up many interesting concerns and questions.

Yep, I was sitting down most of the time, then as soon as I stood up to make some points, I saw Kingston take a pic of me.

We then adjourned to lunch at this awesome steamboat place near the Nuffnang office. It hadn't been open for long but we found it since we walk pass it everyday. It looks SUPER posh and expensive but actually it's priced very reasonable. I sometimes just spend my whole Saturday afternoon in there on their couches for Dimsum and doing some work on my laptop.

Lunch made us all too full. We then went to Nanluoguxiang hutong and Houhai to just walk around and enjoy the weather. Weather was really perfect that day. After all that walking we ended up chilling at a bar and having Tsing Tao in the afternoon.

Then the fun started happening when we got bored and decided to buy some cards to play. Kingston was all about wanting to gamble, but not everyone wanted to do that, so we suggested, why not instead of betting cash, we bet push ups. NYAHAHAHAHAHA....

U can imagine, we were raising each other's push up amounts til it got quite insane. hahaha. And the bloggers were sporting enough that they actually did all the push ups they "lost". Kingston being the big gambler ended up "working out" a lot that afternoon!

We were all hungry again after all that working out, we went to dinner at South Beauty, a very famous restaurant in Beijing and then went to KTV after that where everyone let loose and chilled before heading home.

We were all really happy that all the bloggers had fun and we hope to have more of these in the future. Hopefully then it'd all be sponsored by advertisers!!!

Oh one more picture before I end this, before leaving Houhai, I just had to take this picture of this old "auntie" belting out some old-style songs so passionately in the middle of everyone at Houhai. It's just something they all do.

Shuangjing Dinner

Go just got back from Dalian in the morning yesterday and said, why not go for dinner? I normally go for kickboxing in the evening, but since I already went 3 days in a row, I decided to be lazy and take a break to go have dinner with him. He came to the office to meet up with me first and since Julia was still here she joined us for dinner.

We went to Shuangjing for Shabushabu. This chain joint, is always packed. It's cheap and tasty steamboat. 3 of us ate for RMB100.

I'm starting more and more to like the Shuangjing area, there are a lot of apartments there and it's very close to Guomao CBD so after work, a bunch of people go there to eat dinner near their homes and then chill around there before just heading back around that area to go home.

After dinner, we were just outside of the mall to enjoy these 2 dudes playing acoustic guitar and performing. Singing and playing. Pretty damn good I must say, no one claps though, so Go and I just kept clapping and "wwooott-ing" after every song hehehee.

Then it gets weird. Across the street, people were also outside, but not young people, a bunch of old people out there singing into a microphone with background music in an out-of-tune fashion. I looked at Julia, surprised. She said, yep that's how China people roll.

Then it got even more weird. This group, had lyrics on a wall, with NO music, and just singing outside themselves. Yep, that's lyrics on the wall and they were all singing.

Weird.

Well, as long as they enjoy themselves. I think that's the most important.

After my 6-7 months at ECPod, I have decided to move back to a more user-friendly blogger.com even though my chinese readers won't be able to read this unless they use a proxy. But given that a lot of chinese users do use proxies and VPNs, it shouldn't be that big of a problem.

My parents and sister were here in Beijing for the first time ever! I took them around town for the whole week last week, which left quite little time for me for work, but it was fun nevertheless. We did all the main attractions - great wall, forbidden city, walking outside the temple of heaven, bird's nest olympic stadium, and shopping at silk street market, yashow, and hongqiao pearl market. Heck they didn't even get enough shopping at those places that they had to go to Carrefour in Beijing to shop. haha

The focus is not on my dad, but if you zoom into the kid at the background, the mom basically just spread the legs of the baby girl, and because in China, diapers are expensive, kids pants have a big hole at the bottom so that they can "unload" anytime. The baby girl was "spraying her fountain" just like that:

Last friday night I took my sister out for the first time without my parents, so that she could experience the "young" life and not just the touristy stuff. We started off with this party somewhere in a industrial area. My friend was spinning at this "warehouse" there, they had free flow drinks and chuanr, and people were getting haircuts in the middle of the party:

Very artsy. Haha. After that we went to Punk at Sanlitun to show my sister the more upscale electro scene at Opposite House hotel. All in all, I think a very productive trip. I saw a lot of Beijing sights myself, but probably won't do it again. So friends coming to visit, I'll take you guys to stuff that the locals do, not what the tourists do.

Ain't nothing stopping me from golf

Quick post before I go out to the driving range. God really is trying to stop me from playing golf today. Somehow or another there has been barriers one after another.

I went to work today all ready for my afternoon golf with Tommy Hoo, a dude I met at the golf course like 1 year ago and out of all the friends that are normally available to play during the weekdays, he was the only one available today. So, after lunch just as I was about to leave the office to go play, BBSHHHHHH......rain. Big time. Went back up to the office to get the umbrella, and walked to my car. Shoes were all wet when I got into the car.

Left the office and traffic was insane at the Jalan Duta roundabout near the hockey stadium. I was at a standstill (fine, i moved 100m) for 30 min. Just not moving at all. Found out that some dude left his Estima right in one lane and leaving only one lane to move getting out of the round about.

After getting out of the jam, thought, phewww...finally i'm driving at last. Still raining though. But rain don't stop no golfer. Only lightning does. And just as I was exiting the NKVE at Bukit Jelutung,

During the skid, before hitting the fender, the only thing on my mind was, fuck...this looks like i'm going to hit quite bad and I can't go play golf. After the impact, the car was still running. So optimistic me said, well the car still can move, I think i can still make it to the golf course. We'll deal with the damage later. Called my dad (well it's his car), and got directions from him to take the car home asap. Sigh...

So i'm going to the driving range now. (in my dad's usual car)

Malaysia to monitor Internet for 'harmful' blogs

Malaysia has formed a task force to scour the Internet for blog postings deemed harmful to national unity, authorities said Friday in the latest of a series of actions against new media.

Home ministry deputy secretary general for security Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi said the unit would involve the police, Internet regulators, the information ministry and the attorney general's chambers.

"It is a mechanism that will coordinate these various agencies to help monitor what is being said in cyberspace and to take action against those that are trying to stoke racial tensions and disunity," he told AFP.

Abdul Rahim said the group would also monitor alternative and mainstream media for similar content.

"There is a disturbing trend now appearing on the Internet where some people are inciting racial unrest and causing confusion and this will damage the peace we have in the country," he added.

Abdul Rahim cited the recent case of a Facebook page that insulted Muslim Malays. They make up the majority of Malaysia's multicultural population, alongside large ethnic Chinese and Indian communities.

Police are also investigating ethnic Chinese rapper Wee Meng Chee for sedition, after he posted a three-minute rap on YouTube criticising a Malay headmistress accused of making racial slurs against minority students.

The government has ordered a probe into the case which caused anger among Malaysia's minorities, who complain their rights are being eroded as the country becomes increasingly "Islamised".

In another case, Malaysian journalist Irwan Abdul Rahman was charged this week over a satirical blog which made fun of the state power firm Tenaga, and faces a year's jail if convicted.

The prosecution caused a stir because unlike the mainstream press, the web and online media in Malaysia have remained relatively free, despite occasional raids, bans and government criticism.

Major newspapers and broadcasters are closely linked with the ruling coalition, so the Internet has become a lively forum for dissent and debate.

The government in 1996 pledged not to censor online content as part of a campaign to promote its information technology sector.

DW Apparel - Nuts

In my one year of not working, in between working at Healthy Homes selling Rainbows and Nuffnang selling online ads, I was playing a lot of poker and decided that there are so many terms in poker that could make some pretty cool funny tshirts, where the design if directly translated, would mean something in poker.

However, due to insufficient planning and lack of funds, we ended up making too many tshirts, with no means of selling them. The tshirts were made with some pretty good quality stuff (we went to the same manufacturer of tshirts as Mercedes-Benz, who were selling their apparel in stores for RM100 a shirt)

So some investments were made but never really turned out to return, and therefore instead of putting more money in to sell these shirts, I thought, getting another job would be way better to reaping those lost money back.

However, these shirts and their designs still mean a lot of me, and people who have seen them have always said it was nice, even though they didn't know what it meant outright. Poker players who knew the terms would after translating the designs into the terms would go, "aaahhhhhh....i get it" haha.

This is one of the designs that we successfully produced:

Nuts - our all time favorite design. Simple and strong. The word "nuts" in poker means the absolute best hand for that round. So say for example, there is 5d 7d Kh Js 4d on the board, and you're holding AdKd, you have the "nuts" as you have the Ace high flush, in which case there are no better possible combination than that.

If you had no idea what 5d 7d meant, the first character is the number of the card, and the second character is the suit. So 5d means 5 of diamonds. K = King, Q = Queen, J = Jack, T = ten, A = Ace. d = diamonds, s = spades, c = clubs, h = hearts.

Flush means the 5 card combination all have the same suit. (all hearts in the example above)
Ace high flush is the highest possible flush, with A as the highest card. So if someone has a K high flush and you have the A high flush, you win.

Flush is bigger than a straight or any pairs, or trips; but smaller than a Full house or Quads, or straight flush.

I think all these are pretty similar to Big 2 if you play that card game.

But yeah, that's what "Nuts" mean, the best hand for that round of poker. I'll share the other designs with you guys soon.

Dear blog visitor (I say this because I don't think addressing you all as readers would be appropriate as you probably aren't),

First of all, thank you for clicking on my so amateurish-done-skyscraper-size-static-non-flashy banner done on Microsoft paint that I was too cheap to put on a normal paid Nuffnang ad unit but instead dumped it onto the so very few charity ad units in Singapore. (Probably get screwed for this as it takes the meaning of charity away from these ad units) I know the ad creative could be so much better but due to my limited drawing skills, it ain't gonna happen.

Next, if you actually got here from a Churpchurp campaign (well at least I paid for something), and you have no idea what Nuffnang banner ad unit I was talking about, here you go, for your reference:

Now this blog post is actually dedicated to Huiwen/the country manager of Nuffnang Singapore/my girlfriend for her birthday. I doubt she's reading this so if you'd be so kind to just tweet this post to her at @davienne, she might be able to catch this on her birthday today (Aug 13)

Just to tell you a little bit about her, for the benefit of you who are still wondering, who is Huiwen? She's runs the show at the Nuffnang Singapore office. I met her just about a year ago when I first joined Nuffnang Malaysia (Yes I know I'm not suppose to shit where I eat). Since this is my blog post I'd make it very skewed towards my benefit - I could not help but notice that she started showing some interest in me and so I made it easier for her and let it happen. (muahahahahahhaa....). End of story.

Ok seriously now, over the past year, even though we're staying in different countries, I guess we've somehow been seeing each other every few weeks or so. Learned a few things about her. She likes dogs. Well or so I think.

No that's not her dog Scruffy, nor is that my dog, Shasha. That's Mini, my friend Evelyn's dog when we went to her brother's house birthday party sometime last year. That was the only picture of a dog and her that I had.

I guess if I remember correctly, this picture was the process of her getting ready to look like how she looked like in the banner you clicked on. So, job well done to the person doing it. (I have no idea who it was)

We don't have much pictures together, as we both don't really carry cameras around except for our phone cameras which kinda suck. The theme parks make it easier on us that they help us take pictures during our ride so that we can buy them if we'd like them but I'm still too damn cheap to buy it so I basically took a picture of the picture that they were displaying for us to buy when we got off the ride.

Lotsa traveling

I have been doing lotsa traveling lately. Just came back from Singapore for meetings the entire week and might be off again the following week to another country for some work.

It was fun meeting the other leaders from the other countries that Nuffnang is in. Of course being kids as we were, it wasn't all work.

These Nerf guns made those we were used to in the KL office feel super puny. Well they were anyway.

After 5 long days of work there, and some late nights, Ming took us out for some playtime. Some fun go-karting time and then we went to the Luge at Sentosa where we found out interesting facts of our colleagues,

They sure loved male ass.

So I had to give it a shot as well, but I didn't go as far as trying them ass.

Wasn't that bad i must say, although I think this way might have been way better

Gaahahahahahahaha.

But after riding the Luge, they were selling pictures that, you know, after you sit a ride, they take pictures of you and then try to sell it to you, yep that picture. I thought it was a pretty nice picture. So I took a picture of that picture.

They'd be running out of business soon if other people saw me doing that and learning from me. Muahahahaha.

Came back from Singapore end of the week end went straight to my former classmate's wedding. Later was I told by @nicgan that he saw a tweet from @pinkpau that said that she saw some Nuffie at a wedding. Found out it was the same one.

This is my date for the wedding.

Yep, our class form teacher. She was so touched to see all of us there after 10 years after high school. But she was one of the coolest teachers as well. We all liked her. Although we gave the principal at that time a lot of headache and said that we were supposedly "trouble", she actually told us that it's because the headmaster couldn't take our "creativity", and "outspokenness".

What a cool teacher to have.

World Cup 2010

I lag in everything, even blog posts. No one would wanna read my shit coz i post stuff that's one month old. And they said the internet was supposed to speed shit up.

Well, a month ago (or is it just 3 weeks?) World Cup 2010 ended. And of coz just like almost every world cup i would watch the finals. Coz it'd be just stupid if everyone in the world was talking about the same thing the next day and you had no idea wat happened just because you ....went to bed.

P1 invited us to the Bangsar Street party where they closed down the whole Jalan Telawi 3 (Alexis row) and put up a stage and like maybe 4 screens there. It was also a BAT event but of coz, none of the BAT brands could be mentioned. We got there at about 10pm when the event was supposed to start at 6pm, so because we were late, they closed the walk in line, and EVERYONE, including VIP, normal guest, normal ticket, walk-in, or watever shit invitation you got, had to line up. And the line went ....allllll the wayyyyyyyyyyy from Telawi STreet Bistro, to Mcds, and then reverse to Blook. We waited like fools. until about 1.30am, then we decided to go yamchar and give up.

Then just as we sat down for a drink, @cynthia_chung gave me a call and said, david i'ma get you some all-access passes! No line, enter anywhere, anytime. I'm like..hhmmm..yes or no? 2.30am match. Sure why not, we're already here. So we went in and had lotsa fun. woohooo

Anyway, I can't even remember who was playing against who or who won the match now. But the highlight of the event was

The Half Time SHOW!. THese girls started getting on stage and doing some dirty dance moves. Aahhh..that's the only part I remember of the night.

Anyway, 2 sundays ago was a very good sunday for my car. My car has never felt so good in the last 6 months. Jonathan said, your car is probably the car that's getting the highest value for the money paid for this car wash.

This was a charity drive initiative by Saimatkong. He was doing this to raise money for a Mr Kau who needed an ankle brace as he couldn't walk properly. He was going to wash enough cars at RM15 a pop to raise RM300 in total for the ankle brace. But, when I saw the report, the participants were super duper supportive of his initiative that they donated an average of RM50 per car!

This initiative is part of a larger campaign from the TLC company called Promise Me. Where they had 70 wishes from 70 beneficiaries from 5 charitable homes for 70 people to pledge to fulfill these wishes. Saimatkong was one of them along with Proudduck, Teycindy, Vvens, and Kimberlycun from the Nuffnang stable.

The TLC clients were also super supportive of Saimatkong's initiative that they started washing my car. wahahahaha

Singapore for 1.5 weeks

Gosh, I almost forgot I had a blog.

Have been here in Singapore for over a week now. Learning something so simple yet so tough for me.

Powerpoint is definitely not my thing. Hasn't been my thing. But hopefully would change so that I can do it better soon. And not have to rely on Veen Dee or Nicki. I don't know what to do without them.

Something wrong with eyes

It's been a while since i checked my eyes. and I've started to realize that my left eye ain't that very good anymore, with glasses or with contacts. The last time the left eye went up in power I just changed the contact lenses to suit the right power but not the glasses coz I stingy.

Fuck.

Might need to get the eyes checked now before I make my move out of Malaysia. Would be happening within weeks. I better not be stingy this time. Hmm.. could probably charge it to the company.

Don't know if we have dental and vision benefits yet.

Unthinkable and Valentine's Day

Watched 2 opposite type of movies lately. Good RM6 I spent per movie from the SS2 DVD store. All good quality.

Anyway, Unthinkable was something different,

story of Samuel Jackson playing a different type of negotiator. He tortures national threats, physically. Starts with chopping off pinky fingers, then pulling out finger nails, and then electrocuting them. If all fails, kill their wife and kids in front of them. That should make them start talking.

Valentine's Day was just super opposite.

Totally feel-good movie. I like. Totally my style of movie. I've heard bad reviews from it, saying too many stories and all. I'm like, heck, that's value, the more movies you can pack into one, the better. But it ain't love story throughout, there's cheating parts as well.

This is Patrick Dempsey and his mistress. Heck, one thing you learn from the show, don't go surprise your husband, because he might become your ex-husband.

New Computer!

Yeah I know you wanna know how I got this computer. Especially when I got it for free!!! yeah babyyy...Free shit.

Well my dad got it for free from some MCA thingy. No idea how, but I ain't complaining. After a few weeks of it lying in the living room in boxes. I finally took them out and put them together tonight. Some big ass monitor it has. Nice.

Specs were pretty decent as well for something free.

Then realized, shit, I didn't have wireless internet for this computer. Was glad to find a long ass cable to connect it from my router outside my room. So now I got wires all over my desk, and also through my whole room to outside for internet.

But I ain't complaining. muahahahaha. There's this one problem now though. I'm tech-unfriendly, so my comp's hard drive is now in 2 partitions, which I don't like, but I don't know how to make it to just one partition. Lousy me. Please tell me in simple layman's terms how to do this if you know.

But for now, the biggest concern is taking care of the empty boxes.

I guess I'll leave this to my mom. She'll know best.

Nokia The Rookie

I've been trying to watch the Rookie by Nokia quite a bit previously and have never been able to until recently. Think is my stupid internet connection or just Malaysia's connection is like shit.

Anyway I've been able to watch like 2 episodes over the weekend and I think it's a good effort! The show's concept is interesting. Well I think there's a little bit more entertainment in stuff like Jackass or Numbnuts, but this serves it's objectives of a show about business projects by 2 groups of people vying for internships in 4 companies.

I think the show is all done in 6 episodes (it's still running right now), with something to take away from each episode. We'll see if Project Alpha can do something like that for next season. We had a bunch of good entries for the auditions held in ruumz, so we'd see how we can do it for next season. Am gonna start thinking of which bloggers would be best to feature, and then some cool story line as well. But I'm thinking, way less than 49 eps.

Gout or Fracture?

Last night was pretty bad as the pain got quite immense that I couldn't even sleep. It used to be painful when I walked on it but last night it was painful even without touching it.

Last week Thursday I went kickboxing with Karen Mayer, and after that I didn't really feel anything much. Then on Saturday and Sunday, was limping around the golf course, and then Monday and Tuesday I was limping to the office, around the office, to lunch and back, and last night was the worst.

This morning I couldn't even get out of bed to take a piss. It was easier crawling. The foot was more swollen than before,

it was visibly swollen now. Was thinking it was all along a fracture that happened coz I kicked too hard in kickboxing?

But went to the doctor today and after taking an X-ray and a blood test,

he said, possible gout? I mean wtf? Too much meat and seafood? I'm thinking I'm one of the more healthy people around, eating a balanced diet (fruits, vegetables, less fried shit and more grilled shit), exercising by kickboxing, golf, climbing, no smoking, no alcohol, no drugs, and I end up with gout??!!

So they say they're going to send the x-ray in to check for fractures, and the blood to check for high levels of uric acid, which is supposed to cause the gout. Gout my ass.

Now I can't say I don't take drugs coz,

Gotta take these to stop the inflamation and pain.

My foot is swollen

It's been a nice active yet relaxing weekend. Started with a nice dinner on Friday night with Xiou Ann, Ji-lian and fiance Eugene at Kitchen Creatures at Centerpoint BU. I must say, although the food tasted good, the portions couldn't get any smaller. Look at these!

No frills dining's not supposed to mean no fill dining!

Woke up early Saturday morning for golf at Beringin with Ariff, John and Orson. Played like shit. Came home to chill and then went to Linda's for a pizza party with the Nuffies! Man oh man did I see everyone get a little tipsy there. So tipsy til there was interesting stories about that night. Quick excerpt I found somewhere on how interesting the night went:

"That Saturday he told me that he'll be back late. I hate those ambiguous answer so I told him to give me a time. He then told me that he'll be back around 10pm-12am. I waited till 1am. I called him. And guess what? He was pissed drunk! And I asked him what time he'll be back, he said he doesn't know. WTF? He was slurring in his words with some girls voice in the background. And so in his blog post he said he had something stronger than coffee. I know what it was. I heard all his conversation the night before so bribe me and I'll tell you. Fine, he wants to have then he can do whatever he wants. I then asked him where he is so that I can get the keys from him. He told me he is in USJ. C'mon, USJ is so freaking huge lor. Then he hung up."

You know that some of us got pretty damn drunk haha.

Sunday morning woke up early again, and played golf with Kinweng, Elaine and Clarence and Kinrara. Well this time i did pretty well (for my standards), broke 100 and was pretty happy with myself. However, I was limping around the course both Saturday and Sunday. Don't know what it is but my foot is swollen. Might have been the kickboxing on Thursday.

Can you see which foot? It feels worse as the time goes by. Tomorrow's going to be a limping day again.

Government Credit Card Charges

I got this shit from Citibank a few weeks ago. A statement that asked RM50 from me even though I haven't used my card in a while. Think I'll be getting another one for my Maybankard pretty soon as well. Haven't had the time to go cancel these cards.

But then again, I don't know what's the reasoning of charging RM50 per card per year. It is REALLY gonna stop people from using these cards? I mean if that's the case I probably just trim down the number of cards, not the amount of spending. So in the end, bad for the banks, coz everyone cancel their cards, and may the fittest bank survive.

If they really wanted to stop people from over spending, then all they have to do, is reduce the credit limit on the card, be tougher on the requirements for card issuance, and EDUCATION.

Or if the government thinks using credit cards are all that bad, just BAN them. I ain't paying this RM50 charge.

Pizza Hut Fish King Madness

I really haven't had that much pizza in a row since the US days. Went to the Kota Damansara outlet for the bloggers gathering for the Pizza Hut Fish King launch, had a bunch of pizza there. The week after before Horeca we decided to eat more pizza again, this time at the KLCC outlet, read post here (http://davidwpy.blogspot.com/2010/05/big-fish-moment-with-pizza-hut.html). Then last week was Robb's birthday and he really likes Yellow Cab, well I do too, so we got 3 super-extra-18inch-freaking-large pizza's for our lunch celebration along with some crazy-ass-super-diabetes-infested chocolate indulgence Secret Recipe cake as his birthday cake.

And today, we decided to order it to the Nuffnang office again coz more Nuffies wanted to take more pictures and blog about it and possibly join the Fish King contest. We ordered it online, and within 40 min...taadaaaaa

The pizza became a superstar for a quick moment.

Of course the moment didn't last very long. Before everyone started chomping on it.

Why Smartphones can be Dumbphones

Whaddyea mean? As far as I know, the smart phone I'm using, which is the Bold 9000, is pretty damn smart. I use it for everything, Twitter, Facebook, emails, taking pictures, videos, GPS, maps, word mole, sms, BBM, all my appointments, phonebook, a notepad, calculator, as my alarm clock, and to browse the internet. Take it away and I'm handicapped.

So i don't know why smartphones can be dumbphones. They're not. Maybe thanks to DiGi I'm on their RM58 Smart plan, and get a rebate for the entire RM58 everytime my bill is over RM200.

Mos Burger in Singapore

I spent the last weekend in Singapore. Was at this Mos burger joint before getting on the bus to come back to Malaysia. I kinda always tend to wanna have it at least once before I leave. I think it's so different from other burgers and always get the beef in rice burger (or i don't know if you'd call it a burger since it's not a bun).

Asked why they don't come to Malaysia, and they say they can't coz it's not halal and they have no plans in halal-fying it.

Too bad for me I guess.

Big Fish Moment with Pizza Hut

I was there as well during the review and had a fair share of the Fish King pizza but thought it was mighty good so asked all the Nuffies to go try as well before we went for the Horeca Bacardi event.

Since we were going to 7atenin9 for the event at about 9pm we decided to go to the KLCC Pizza Hut outlet.

Really no one was there to seat us so we seated ourselves

But dude was pretty friendly in serving us and taking orders so all good about not seating us

Now of course even without looking at the menu we went for the Fish King Pizza heheeh...for the second time for me.

It was not only my second time, KY who was reviewing the pizza last week couldn't resist so he came back to eat it again hahahaha,....look at him, eating like a pro

The rest of us were just stuffing everything down, by all the expressions you can tell this shit was pretty damn good.

Well Michelle and Fresh was all about looking good so I guess they looked the most civilized while the rest of us just chomped it down.

You can tell the pizza was pretty damn good, all the fish and especially that special lemon mayo.

Sucky Primark glasses

There it is. The 2nd of 3 sunglasses I bought from Primark. You all must have already known that my pink one died a few weeks back and I was left with 2. Now it's just one left. I'm not surprised now if I write another one of these in the coming few weeks.

I guess you get what you pay for. GBP1 for each of these from Primark in London. It's really almost like a store that sells disposable stuff. Hope the bunch of underwear I bought there don't rip half way through the day.

I was looking through the monthly Astro magazine that comes to the house, telling you what programs are on for the month, and then I came across this disturbing article. I mean it's not like I don't know human trafficking existed, but it's just that this article just reminded me again of how bad this shit is, and so happen I had a dream about this last night, I shan't go over the details of the dream because I can remember it pretty vividly. Not cool.

Some of the crazy shocking facts, is that there are 12 million reported adults and children in forced labor at anytime. Men would be kidnapped and made laborers or beggars. Women would be made prostitutes most of the time. The youngest women being trafficked is 4 years old. A virgin could be sold up to USD1000 to be raped. And this is the sickest part:

Once the virgin is raped, she's then sewed up again, without anesthetic, and resold as a virgin again. Fucking sick.

If these people were willing beggars, or laborers, or prostitutes, then that's fine. But forcing someone to do something they don't want to do, ......I don't know what to say.

Imagine, someone kidnaps me, sends me to some far away country, says, ok David you be a beggar. We'd need to chop off your legs, and your arms, and pour acid on your face. There you go, your life disappears just like that, by a decision that was made by someone else, for their profit.

Apparently the human trafficking industry, an organized crime, makes USD32bil a year. I say fine, if you're running a brothel of willing prostitutes, but not when you rob someone of their lives.

Worst thing is, if the numbers are growing, can't help to think that the cops are probably part of this whole thing anyway. As if the cops don't wanna be a part of this USD32bil going on around.

Pink shades died

There was this store called Primark at London, where everything was so freaking cheap there. Not just at Primark but just about every store in Europe. From Zara, to H&M, to Mango. For RM900 at London, I bought 5 shirts, 4 t-shirts, 2 pairs of pants, 5 pairs of shoes, 10 pairs of boxers, 15 pairs of socks, 2 belts, 1 tie and 3 sunglasses.

Those who know me will know that i've been wearing them pink shades for a while now, they're the most comfortable out of the 3 I bought, and of course, stands out the most. Have even worn them to client presentation! It's a conversation starter I tell you.

Until.....

Pink shades died. So sad.

Ascent - find out which fragrance suits you

Last Thursday, Estee Lauder had this launch event at Pavilion called Ascent for their perfumes. It wasn't a launch for any specific brand of fragrances, though they carry a bunch of brands like Aramis, Sean John, DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, and more...

Apparently they invited a bunch of celebs there coz I heard people saying, ohh Carven Ong is here, ooh that designer is here, another designer is here. Really, everyone was looking designer-like (you know, skinny 3 quarter length pants, sneakers, with a tight shirt and you-know-they-took-3-hours-to-do hair. Yasmin Hani was there too, I think this is her coz Pinkstilettos was there and she pointed to this lady saying she was Yasmin Hani (apparently a big star, I have no idea)

well hope you can tell from her back. haha..

What I was more interested in though was the food,

No I'm kidding. I was there for the perfume. Michael Liew, the Brand GM gave an opening speech, explained what the Ascent event was all about.

Apparently, this Ascent event wasn't designed to push any specific brand of perfumes. It was designed to let you find out what perfume suited your lifestyle. In a very cool ipod touch way, (there were a few ipod touch's going around where they created an app to let you find out which perfume suited you based on the pictures you chose in different categories, I mean how freaking cool is that, personalization to the max) I had my personality tested through a series of pictures, and after making my selection from the pictures, I was finally judged as a "casual/seductive/sexy" person. From there I was given 3 choices of fragrance to smell-choose from. There was one that stood out way more than the other 2, and that happen to turn out to be Tommy Classic.

So i guess that's me. Tommy Hilfiger Classic, that points out the casual/seductive/sexy person in me. Wow.

All thanks to Ashley Wong, senior marketing exec of Estee Lauder who invited us (Michellezyenn, and Nicholaschay) to the event.

We finished off by having lunch with Pinkstilettos and her sister Schazwanyhameed who poured out the tragic story of her ex.

Oscar 1996 - 2010

Oscar has been with us for the last 14 years. Wanted to put his pic up here so at least there is a record of him or else i know it'll somehow be deleted from my phone. The last year saw him deteriorating like crazy and his last week alive had to be when my parents were away at Australia. They didn't have a chance to see him go.

We had Oscar given to us when I was in Form 1 as a puppy. He was so small he could squeeze through the front door and come into the house whenever he liked. Eventually he grew too big that only his head could fit in. He was an energetic dog, chasing motorcycles all the time, and going out and making lotsa babies with I don't know which bitch out there. Good life as a player. Maybe it's due to his good looks. (The son came out looking not as good, i bet the mom was like a fugly bitch. He may have the looks but he ain't got the taste).

Anyway, these are his pictures during his last few days.

He still looked good as ever but he was limping around non-stop, panting non-stop for 2 days, and not eating for 2 days. Fell inside the drain twice, and when I picked him up and cleaned him up he didn't even have energy to shake the water off. He had problems even standing up from a lying position already.

The last straw came when he couldn't even lick the food in even though I put it on his tongue. I had to shoot water into his mouth as he wasn't drinking too. His last night here, he was lying down and that's when I found out why he's been limping like crazy. There was an open wound on his paw and there were freaking maggots swimming inside. Must have been due to not letting us bathe him for the last few weeks. That sight made my mind up that was going back and forth on whether I should put him down and end the suffering. I knew if I didn't it would just be totally cruel to let him live like that.

The next morning, he was still limping around but finally lied down, and didn't even stand up to pee anymore. I took him in a towel, without putting up a struggle like he normally does, I carried him into the car, and drove down to the vet. It felt like a super long drive even though it was so near as I was hesitating along the way.

As soon as the vet saw Oscar, he said, he's really in bad shape and should go. Before the whole jab was even done, Oscar had already passed on.

I come home everyday now to an empty patio, where Oscar normally is. He had a good life.

Too old for stunts.

I realise I've been doing some crazy stunts lately. Probably too crazy for the age that I am already (not the age that I feel I am). Did both these stunts on the same day last weekend. Can't believe I'm still walking now.

Was at the Gatsby event all day and after the long ass day of supervising the game booths, the nuffies decided to try some of the games ourselves so the thing that we said we had to do was the Rodeo ride. Michelle took this pretty-damn-awesome-dunno-why-there-are-2-of-me-in-this-picture picture:

I fell after holding on for dear life for like what I thought was maybe 30 seconds. After that I was spinning like crazy I couldn't walk straight for a while and my palms hurt from all the grabbing so super tightly.

Then at night we went to Karen Mayer's house warming party! I must say that was the highlight of the day as we had some awesome catered food, that eventually got discarded because there was too much and no one tapau-ed!! But why I say it's the highlight it's because:

There you go, vanilla ice cream on home made brownies in one hand, white wine in the other, nice leather couch for my ass, and awesome company for the evening. I could do this everyday.

Then after all the food we had the tour of the new place, and what did we find.... a POLE!!. So I've always wanted to try doing what I see the dudes in pole-dancing do....so I tried it and lasted for like probably, .5 sec.

Thanks to Karen she was good in capturing that .5 sec that I was suspended in the air like that. And after that my back and abs started hurting.

My sister the badminton pro

That's right. That's my sister in black in the video. See Yin from Mindshare asked me about my sister playing badminton and I asked him to search for her in Youtube, so he found it and I thought I'd share it with everyone as well. I don't think she plays just as much anymore but I think still enough to represent Western Australia. It used to be playing for Selangor state, training under the state association, training with Han Jian, training with Misbun, waking up at 6am everyday during holidays and coming back just as I'm waking up at 10-11am, and after lunch when I go take my nap, she goes back for afternoon training. Maybe that's why she's better than me in pretty much everything.

Bleh...

So if you think I kick your ass in badminton, wait til you play with her....ngahahaha

KDU Open Day Dec 12, 2009

So it's early Saturday morning 9am and here I have arrived at KDU College at the DJ campus. EVerythign's still pretty quiet. That day, Dec 12, 2009 was the open day for KDU College. It was kinda also the open day for EVERY SINGLE OTHER college around town. I mean whatsup with that?? CAnt' expect people to go to every open day when it's all at the same day right?? LAter did I find out that the reason why everyone's open day is the same weekend is coz that's the only weekend available. For some, SPM is not over, and then next week is awal muharram and then christmas and then nye...so which leaves us to jsut this one weekend to fight for it all...

Anyway, i was here at the KDU one because guess who. Kennysia was here to give a speech to fellow young Malaysians graduating from SPM and finding their way to "A Life After High School". Well technically Kenny didn't raelly do SPM so i dunno how credible he is. hahaha..but judging from his success from the things he has done and achieved at his age, ...celebrity blogger, gym owner, and multiple various ventures, he well deserved to pass on that knowledge and expereince to the students.

They even got him to record everything in a radio studio there. Probably so that maybe if in the future a parent says to their kid. " No u have to be an engineer, you can't be a....erm...dog ..poop,..picker..upper..." Then the kid can use what kenny said on their parents "but kenny said do what I like to do!!!"

That engineering professor would be so disappointed at that.

Anyway, there it was my Saturday at KDU open day. This coming saturday and sunday Dec 19-20 is KDU's Info day. You can walk into KDU and find out more about all the programs that they're providing for the January intake. So guys, if you're looking to get further educated. Check out KDU this weekend.

So I woke up today to an SMS that said, Hi David, saw your handsome face on the Sunday Times today, you're not with Rainbow anymore?

For you guys who dont' know what Rainbow's are, they're the bestest vacuum cleaners around which I sold to over a hundred customers here in Malaysia in a span of 1.5 years. During my time working there I had some of the best flexi working hours ever. I woke up about 11am. Got out to have lunch at about 12noon, then went somewhere to make phone calls to setup appointments for the week, then after dinner I'd go do a demo at someone's house. On the weekends is where I'd pack my schedule up way more as everyone's home and waiting to buy a Rainbow. Weekdays were more relaxed, play some badminton, watch some movies, but just made sure my weekends were full.

Then I came to work at Nuffnang recently, which also had flexi working hours. (maybe if they didn't I would have left already, ahhahahaha). So which comes back to my point on the SMS i received this morning. And a few more of similar SMSs from other friends pointing me to check myself out on the Sunday times.

I guess at the rate I’m updating my blog it looks like it’s a weekly blog post if not monthly one. I guess I’m keeping it alive mostly because maybe of the fact that a little more people are coming in because I’m tweeting about Project Alpha. Sigh so lame, getting traffic due to stuff posted on another source. Bad, bad....

Well I just came back from watching The Ugly Truth.

Yes most people that blog normally put up the picture of the poster of the show, but how boring is that? This was my favourite picture of the show. Haha. Awesome movie. I think any movie that makes someone cum at the dinner table is always hilarious, just like in The Wedding Crashers, not sure if any of you remember that movie.

Anyway, after the movie we just headed to Banana Leaf in Centerpoint for some light supper and I was talking to a new friend that was explaining her hobby and part time business. This girl trades in exotic pets! She was explaining that sells a lot of scorpions,

Super interesting, little bit creepy, and damn sad for the rabbits, who are btw fed a high protein diet, so that they make great feed for the snakes!

My Birthday at Dave's

Last few days I have been working a lot on Project Alpha since the launch of the microsite and a lot of small little petty things that have to be taken care of so to make the site look tip top. Couldn’t have done most of it if it wasn’t for Nicki, Vernice, and Robb who helped me out a bunch with all the copywriting, design and small minor details.

I was focusing on it a lot that my birthday kinda just crept up on me. Now in Nuffnang we have this thing that we are entitled to take leave from work on our birthday. I had meetings set up for the entire day on my birthday. I had the impression that I would have been able to transfer the leave to another day but only at 00:00 hours of my birthday I found out that I was wrong! I either took the leave or let it be forfeited!

In a hurry I rescheduled the meetings that I could, but still went for those that I couldn’t.

But on that day itself, I still woke up in the morning, did some work for preparing for the afternoon meeting, then went out for lunch with my parents! It’s been a while since I had lunch with them. I suggested this place at 1utama called Dave’s restaurant. They have awesome pastas at 50% off M-F 12-5pm. This was the only day in the year that I could take this opportunity to eat at this awesome place again. So we went!

My cousin came along too.

My dad actually came all the way from Mid Valley, where he works. I think his friend was with him as well so he dragged him along.

All in all it was a good meal. I probably won’t be having Dave’s again for another year. Its’ one of the best pastas around at an AWESOMELY cheap price! Only if you go M-F 12-5pm! 50% off all pasta!

After the awesome lunch I went for my meeting and then caught a movie at night. Chill pill for my birthday.

Went back to the office after a day’s off and this is what I see.

I hate people who are not civic minded. I don’t know how we call Malaysians friendly, or courteous, or helpful.

I was at Public Bank last week inside their ATM counters, waiting in line to use one of their 2 cash deposit machines. There was 1 person at each machine. Doing what I thought would be the best for me, and also people that were going to be lining up behind me, I stood right in the middle behind these 2 people, so to say as whichever left first then I could use the vacant one.

There was this construction worker looking dude, Malay or Chinese I have no idea, but he was pretty dark, probably from the tan from working outdoors a lot, he came by and tried to come on the left in front of me. But then he turned around and saw me so immediately he went behind me and lined up.

Moments later, a Chinese dude, now I know this is for sure Chinese coz he was too fair to be Malay. He came on the right side in front of me, and then turned around to look at me and said, “Are you in line?” I said, “yes.” He said, “Which line?” I’m like, “Whichever that comes 1st.”

He looked at me. Shocked that I said that, and then gave me a “cheeseeen” (crazy in Cantonese) look. I think he might have even said that out loud. I was like wTF? Then I said to him so that the dude behind me could hear as well. “There’s a line behind me.” He didn’t give a shit.

So there you go, there’s 2 people at 2 machines. Me standing right in the middle between both of them, and this dude like trying to squeeze in on the right, with actually a line behind me. He looked like a typical Chinese business man. Don’t know why he’s giving all the Chinese business man a bad name out there.

Sigh.

Anyway, another event. I was at dinner 2 nights ago at Paramount, PJ, eating one of the best hokkien mee. When I saw this shit happen.

This dude actually just parked his car RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD to eat hokkien mee. I was like WTF. Who in the world would block the road just coz you didn’t wanna find a proper spot?! 1^st of all not like it was hard to find a spot around there at that time, and secondly, must you park it THAT out??!?!

That pretty much made me so mad at that dude, that dinner wasn’t much fun already.

Of coz i didn’t do shit coz I’m chicken shit.

I tell you, Paramount has a lot of shady shit going on.

Here we have the police, instead of raiding these pirated DVD shops, are BUYING DVDs from them.

Yes I know DVD prices are cheaper and all, but if the police is going to be buying cheap DVDs, then don’t go shut people down when they don’t pay their “protection” money!

Adidas Action 3 Roadshow at Mid Valley

Since everyone's on the topic of Adidas Action 3, well, wait, maybe it seems like everyone's on the topic of it because I'm talking to people who ARE on the topic of it everyday, which makes it seem like everyone's on the topic of Adidas Action 3, wait, did I say the same thing too many times? Gah, Oh well, naturally I'd have to talk about this Adidas Action 3 roadshow that happened at Mid Valley half of last week.

Adidas Action 3 was having their launch of their new Deodorant and body wash. Massive booth at the Center Court LG of Mid Valley megamall. Saturday itself was super busy there, I think they racked up a bunch of sales just by people just walking pass.

In conjunction with this whole roadshow, Project Alpha bloggers were going to be there to hype up the whole event, so naturally, one by one they started showing up. I 1st saw beautifulnara.com snapping away,

His gf was there as well, Sixthseal arrived not long after, he actually texted me to say that he was there already and looking for the place, I didn't save his number then so i just replied not knowing who it was. LAter on the night he sent antoher text, and I replied again, but after that I started feeling stupid, as I was replying to someone who I had no idea who it was, so I had to be thickskinned to ask, "who's this?". His big reply, "HAih david, Huai Bin here. PR FAIL." Sorry dude, have definitely saved your number. haha maybe can go yamchar too since stay so close.

I think i've sidetracked too much, so during this roadshow, Project Alpha bloggers were goign to have a foosball tourney amongst themselves. This is Ken from Adidas, putting up the roster. Sam actually drew lots to randomly pair the bloggers up, so guys, don't blame me, it wasn't me. (Incase u didn't like your partner, or you thought they sucked, haha)
Sixthseal was mentally preparing himself, probably thinking, against fourfeetnine and redmummy, haigh..piece of cake
Nicole and Casey showed up not long after. Casey's goign to be showcased in Season 2, so watch out for that!
Nicole was I guess pretty happy she was pairing up wiht beautifulnara since he da man in soccer, so she might have been thinking too, haigghh..no problem

And what's a bloggers event without appearance of a nuffie? Carol was shopping wiht her mom at Mid Valley and was nice enought to stop by.

Redmummy was really good on the part that she took super precautions with a facemask even though declared negative from the doctor of Ahini. Her son was confirmed wiht Ahini a few days ago but is recovering super fast. Audrey defintiely isn't going to contract anythign from Redmummy. hehe

The principals from Adidas were there to see how us Malaysians roll. The tall dude in the center was pretty funny, his expressions to show how awesome Windows 7 and the Leopard OS for Mac was was priceless.

It was about time to buka=puasa. Adidas Action 3 was kind and super generous enough to take us all, the whole Project Alpha team to Alexis at The Gardens. I'm thinking we had about 30 people there. It was a great time, with great food. I can't imagine how much the bill came up to. But I'm sure it was well worth the good fun everyone had.
This might be the last time pictures are taking from the camera that took all these pictures. Came home to upload all these pictures and found out that my LCD screen cracked from the inside.

KDU - Keele University day at KDU College

Had a whole afternoon on Friday at APV office looking at Project Alpha's edited 1st few episodes. Looks damn good. So went home and you know, friday night, had a quiet night in, and since it was Saturday the next day you would imagine that I could have slept in and all, but no...at 8am I was awake and headed to KDU College They were having this KDU - Keele University talk that Nicholas Chay, Nuffnang's country manager was going to give a talk, along with Blake Delandro, Managing Director of OgilvyAction Malaysia.
I guess I kinda arrived early, as there wasn't many people there yet. One or 2 students signing up. So I thought since they're giving free breakfast, which I kinda knew they were going to give free breakfast since KDU focuses on their hospitality program, I mountain-ed my plate with a big pile of mee goreng.

While waiting for Blake to setup. He took a while, Nick and I were suspecting that he might have been preparing his slides there and then.
Students started to pour in.
So David Tann, Marketing Manager of KDU College decided to go ahead to start the show. He was probably asking some ice-breaker questions that involved people putting hands up. Will tell you more about how Nicholas got EVERYONE to put up their hands later.
Saw Serina coming in, she was super helpful in the previous Open Day that Nuffnang was involved in with KDU College, so stole a shot of her.
These 2 students, the one in the red stripe, and guy on his right, were the only 2 Nuffnangers there that put up their hands when David asked if anyone in the audience serves Nuffnang ads! THanks guys for supporting Nuffnang!
Blakes speech was kinda long. I think it lasted a total of 50 min. But I guess since he had the vast experience in advertising, hence being the MD of Ogilvy, he had his fair share to share with everyone.
It was finally over and David went to see if anyone had questions. There was this one questions that Blake asked the audience earlier before he started his speech. He asked, is anyone here looking for a career in advertising? and no one raised their hands. Then after his whole speech, he asked the audience back - "So, since no one's interested in working in advertising, why are you all here this morning?". One student very honestly answered, "The college ask us to come attend this talk.".......

EVeryone was super quiet. Basically just stared at him, especially David! Oh gosh, if you ask me - stupid question, gets a stupid answer. Both were stupid. Oh well, luckily that dude covered up by saying something like "oh, we were just curious of what Keele had to offer."....PHEWwwww...

Funny.
When I was turning around to look at that blogger who made that stupid answer. I caught this girl, covering her face the entire time i was trying to take that dude. But then i realised that she was pretty cute herself. So I thought, let's wait for her to show her face. So I waited, and waited, and waited. I was like..gosh...what's she doing? Why's she taking so long to remove that hand from her face. ....so I went ahead to take that shot of the dude, and turned back to face the front.
until later on when i was having lunch with Nicholas, did he point out that SHIT...she was actually covering her face from ME!!!...LOOK AT Her eyeballs staring at me!!..ahahahaha.....

Later did I realise that she just got back from Queensland or soemthing liek that.

And now it was Nicholas's time to speak!

Nicholas had this brilliant opener - he asked one question that made EVERYONE put up their hands. The one and only question was,

And walahhh! everyone raised their hands!! Thats' what audience interaction is all about! woohoo

Firdy's birthday

So this is going to be my 1st post since I last played poker. Yeah thanks to a full time job now I can't continue on my online poker journey. So much for going pro...(yeah right).

Ok that's about Firdy's bday. I ddint' join them for drinks after that coz im' a pussy, and had to meet Nick who just got back yesterday.

Finally some GREEN!!!! Can't really play much already since I started work with this company called NUFFNANG. I did like 7k hands like in 3-4 days, and it's the middle of the month already and I only did an extra 1500? So sad, Tay's gonna be so disappointed with me. What a failure.

But the good thing is, GREEN! Ran good today, hit quite a few sets and stacked some people. So I thought, for some morale booster, lemme cash out while I'm still green. Hope to put a few k hands over the weekdays this week.

1st session at nl25

OK I've played nl25 during the beginning of my poker career at Stars. I was losing too fast that I had to move down to nl10 and have been playing at that stakes for the longest time.

My roll's up and I'm back at nl25 and for the 1st session here at Party. Party's tables at nl25 are a whole lt more limited compared to nl10. I'm gonna play til I reach 600partypoints (am at 550+) now before I cash out and move back to Stars, the table selection there is way better. 600 points because you get to cash out $5 for every 200 partypoints u acquire. So for another 50 points, why not? haha..

Again, at 6max, lotsa stacking here and there, but I was glad to cash out my 1st session up 1bi.

We'll see how today goes!

There we go. My 1st full month of playing. Did 15000 hands. But most of the win was in the last 1200 hands playing 6max. The winrate is so much higher at 6max for me.

I think I'm going to be sticking to 6max now. And since my roll is slightly higher than before, I'm goign to start playing nl25 for 6max, but still at 4tables. I get 300 hands an hour but I guess the money is more important than the hand count and partypoints.

As you can see, 6max is definitely the way to go for me. Some of these dudes really don't know how to fold, AND some dudes just can't stand me value betting like crazy on the river, and they just call even when they know they're behind.

I'll post my graph for the month at the end of the month. Really not getting many hands with 6max (300hands/hour), but the winrate is absurdly high.

Although given that the swings would be way higher. It's definitely playing more poker than just playing your hands. Full ring was all about playing your hands, waiting for those top 5% of hands, and grinding the number of hands up.

Hmmm....it seems that the number of hands doesn't drop drastically. at 16 tables full ring I'm getting about 800 hands an hour. But with only 4 tables 6max I do about 300 hands an hour but the winrate is way WAY higher - at about 90bb/100hands! (but then again that's only over a sample of 300 hands hahaha)

Anyway looks like i'ma stick to 6max for a while now. Haven't been playing for about a week now due to some local gambling issues. For those of you who don't know what happened here in Malaysia do check out our local online newspaper. thestar.com.my and search for illegal gambling. That's all I wanna say about it, go find out more yourself.

11k hands at Party

1. What should steal percentage me at the SB. Am I stealing too frequent?
2. I'm losing the most money facing a raiser. I don't know if I should be more careful, or play less facing raisers.

Golf at Monterez

I've been lazy the pass few days but yes I've been playing some golf! I'm pretty new to the game, at less than 6 months since I started.

I was playing at Monterez yesterday and had my best score ever! Hit a 105! That definitely is still a piece of shit but it sure was a great improvement from my previous best at 117. So I'm happy, and looking forward to breaking that 100.

Monterez is awesome on Tuesdays too. For Maybankard members, free green fees! Just pay for buggy and insurance. Buggy=RM75, Insurance RM3 each. So in total it worked out to be RM81 for 2 persons or RM40 each for 18 holes!!!...Best deal ever!

After yesterday's beating at the end of the session, I didn't want that to repeat itself. At almost 900 hands I had a feeling I was up quite a bit, so I did the bad thing by going to my HEM to check and holy shit I was up 3 bi in less than 900 hands. I thought, that sure is good enough for me. I'll clock this profit in right now.

For the most part there was this loose aggressive player on my left on one table. Stats were something like 90/30. He was one of my ATMs for the day. Another dude fed me 2 huge pots - was a 35/16.

I'm doing pretty well on Party. But I think in the next few days I gotta go do a review on the positions I lose the most money at, or the hands that lose me the most money. 16 tabling on Party is kinda fast I have no idea what's going on. Just need to make sure.

I had to do all the reviewing because at 16 tables at Party, there really isn't much time for you to check out your results at the end of the hand. And oh gosh I actually RAN bad...so i shouldn't feel bad for it but continue to play my style. It should hold up. There are a lot of short stack players in Party that I'm just so afraid to raise them. A lot of them have 3bet percentages of more than 10%, how am i supposed to raise a 20BB player with 3bet percentage of more than10%?!

I was so lazy to show my stats yesterday. I'm just going to show both yesterday's and today's right here. Today I got more bored and I thought I could keep up more so I was playing 16 tables on Party. Might just be me but I feel that the time bank in Party is way shorter. 16 seems like a lot, as compared to Stars or iPoker.

Completed the bonus from pokersource 200 party points. So I get my 125USD. 100 from PSO and 25 from Party! My 1st ever successful bonus completion.

So the 2 days combined. Sucked. Played 3k hands and pretty much broke even. BLAHHH!!!...

The 16 tables was so fast, I have no idea wat happened in most situations so now I got a lot of hand reviewing to do. Poker sucks...

Tomorrow's the 150buck tourney at Armanee Terrace. I think it's an awesome preparation for next week's PMC4. But then again, I'm so lazy to sit there and play tourneys. I'll wake up and see how I feel tomorrow.

Alright. I started playing again, woohoo. Got 1600 hands in today, and accumulated more than 100 party points already. So I notified pokersource.com of my completion and ask them to gimme my free money! USD100 at that!

However I still have to complete 200 points in total for the extra USD25 from party poker itself. Shouldn't take long.

Today's session was super volatile. Just look at the damn graph! So many bad beats. I'll have to look at some hands again. I could post those crazy bad beat hands up, but then again I'm too lazy now.

6max at my place

2 nights ago I had a 6max nl100 game at my place. I was running hot that night stacking 3 people, 2 of them shoving into my Aces, one preflop one post flop.

One hand that I think I should have called quicker was this. Folded to me on the button, BB for no reason mucks his hand before I acted. I raised with Aces, Josh thought that I was making a standard button raise and he 3bet because BB folded out of turn, I 4bet but he thought I wanted to just take down the pot just there, so he called. The pot had 50 bucks in it. Flop came JT8 or something connected like that. Josh made a double potsize shove. I tanked, and finally called. As there was no reason to push me out of the hand if he at all connected or there were big draws. He showed K6s and that was a good result for me.

Up over 2bi that night. Nice friendly 6max game. Should do it more often.

So yes that's the total of my 1st day at party. Played 1600 hands total and collected 48 point out of the 200 needed for my free 125bucks from pokersource.com.

What's really amazing is the 36bb/100 hands. Is the game really that soft? Or am i just running too damn good. Either way, it's good for me.

The only reason why I'm here at Party is coz Pokerstars just didn't allow me to make my deposit. Only after playing 800+ hands did Stars email me again to say they've reset my account so I can deposit again. Damn.

So yes, partypoker bonus by PokerSource.com. All I need to do is complete roughly about 6500 hundred hands at nl10 and I'm on my way to USD125 free from pokersource. Definitely doable.

So far I've just done 3 hours and 860 hands at nl10 and I can't believe I'm up almost 5bi.

But look at the graph damnit. At my very final hand my 99 ran into aces, and it all went in at the flop because I hit my set but 4 spades showed up and Ahigh flush wins. I was 3bi deep then and lost 1.5 bi right at that last hand.

Piece of crap.

Kevin wanted to play some. But somehow all the rooms in KL don't start til 10pm or later. I went to his place to play with a few of this BAT colleagues. NL50 that has a max buy in of 40BB. Only played for a few hands before 2 out of 6 players had to leave.

Finished off with a RM50 4-man SNG with 6k starting stack and 15 min blinds. 4bet shove with AJo into K7s. 7 hit on the turn, and I was out.

Can't say much to the game but Kevin's sister sure was hot. Should have taken a pic of her to share. My bad.

Sucked out by set on the river.

So here I was waiting for my money to be transferred out of CDpoker to C2p, so I went to Sam's place for a 1/2 game. The buy in is normally 300, won a few hands lost a few hands and I remember my stack was down to 150 or 75BB. Fair stack to play with, and this hand came.

It was 6handed. UTG limped. I raised to 10 from HJ with Q7s. Folded to SB who minraised me. Limper folded. Flop came KQx rainbow. SB checked. I bet 25. SB flats. Turn 7. SB check I bet 55 leaving 50 behind. SB flats again! I was like, gosh what is he calling with. River comes J. He shoves. I'm calling no matter what. And he shows JJ. WTF?!

There goes my stack there.

Live games do suck, you're lucky when you get 20 hands an hour. But then again what are you going to do when the internet connection sucks so bad you got no choice?!

Armanee Tournament

There will be a RM300+50 tournament this Saturday 1pm at Armanee Terrace, Damansara Perdana. Starting stack will be 10,000 chips with 30 min blinds. Rake is kinda high, but dinner is provided.

This is Armanee's 2nd tournament of this sort. The last one was about a month ago and lasted for more than 7 hours before the winner was decided from a field of 16. Long battle headsup between Marciano and tournament specialist BenCheong. Chip leads were moved from one player to the other before finally, they decided to chop the pot.

So yes I didn't complete any of the bonuses by CDpoker. Moving the cash back out to c2p to see where is the next place I want to play at. I don't know if going to one of the higher rakeback places to play at would be good? like NoIQpoker, or Cakepoker, or going to Stars to just grind up those VIP levels, or clear some bonus somewhere. Feb 13, 14 - Koi mania

No online play for the last few days. Well it's been pretty irregular that I play online anyway.

13th was just lousy. Went there late just to find out that everyone was leaving. So I played 2 hands and had to cash out.

14th was a long 5 hour session. But boy oh boy did the hands not come at all. Shitty J3 Q3 K4 A4 92 hands all day. The only hands that I remembered were decent was a 88 hand which I took down after shoving 75 into a 5 way 8 buck 6 way call, mind you the initial raiser to 8 did it blind; and a AA which I had to fold to a potsize shove on the turn when the 3rd spade and 2nd Jack showed up.

All in all, sucked bad, down 1.3 buy ins. Nothing much to complain but just didn't like the fact that no decent hands came.

Gosh my 1st 900 hand session in a while. The only biggest pot I remember I won was a KQs 3 way all in on the flop and my flush hit on the river. Other than that, pretty mundane. But I'm actually happy that my internet connection is back up. Miraculously. ( shit i don't even know if i spelt that correctly.). Probably go back down again soon. Then I gotta go play live.

Hate the live games. I play too scared, but there aren't any lower stake cash games around town.

HOHOHO...finally one session up!
It's only 600 hands but since I have been down, I went to reread this writeup Tay's friend wrote about beating nl50. I think it definitely applies to nl20 which I'm playing too. Just kinda realised that I've been playing too many stupid hands and this reread has put me back on track, back to the basics, no stupid fancy moves.

Pretty excited about the graph that it finally made a turn from the bottom. Calculated that I need about 52,000 more hands by Jan 8 to clear the poker source bonus. That's about 2400 hands a day, which will take me about 4-5 hours per day everyday til Jan 8. Quite a feat. But I'll try my best.

Got pissed on by Tay today saying that I'm too much like a baby and needed my hand held throughout my poker journey. Aite aite i'll start reading shit on my own now damnit.

Have been deciding on which site to play on next after the bullshit Titan Poker bonus is too damn hard to clear. Did about 28k hands there and cleared I think only 30 bucks of my 500 buck bonus. So in search for the next pokersite.

After being sounded by Tay did I go check out pokersource.com and damn those free stuffs are good. Signed up with CD Poker as they were giving away $250 free money. On top of that CD poker was giving out 100% signup bonus up to $500. So I'm getting loads of bonuses at this site! Just installed it and linked it to my HEM and PS (pokersource) account, configured the player aliases, and I should be ready to rock and roll tomorrow.

Before signing up on CD I was thinking just clearing the $50 bonus on Stars with the bonuswhores.com code. But oh my god pokerstars had something wrong going on there. Download and update speeds were insanely slow till almost a standstill. Don't know why, hope that clears up in a bit.

So. Looking forward to posting some results here in the next few days.
